What Your Child Will Learn
Whether children attend after school, on a field trip, or for a special event, our Young Chefs Academy classes are designed for different age groups to provide an experience that's appropriate for the age of the child. Classes feature hands-on preperation of 1-3 recipes, basic instruction on cooking and baking techinques, proper food handling, food preparation and presentation, kitchen safety, manners and etiquette, and table setting.
Life Enriching Benifits
When children are welcomed in our kitchens, they develop additional life enrichment skills. Cooking reinforces and helps children to practice.
- Reading-comprehension and vocabulary when reviewing the recipes
- Math-measures, weights, equivalents, counting, dividing
- Science- combining and activating ingredients, seeing what occurs when adding Heat or cold.
