Orlando, Florida--HarryP.LeuGardens celebrates the holiday season with festive decorations featured throughout the LeuHouseMuseum, November 27, 2008 through January 1, 2009 (closed December 25th.) Thirty minute tours are given on the hour and half-hour starting at 10:00 am, with the last tour at 3:30 pm.All through the historic home, visitors will see wonderful Christmas trees trimmed in ribbons and bows, amazing displays of dioramas designed by Ron’s Miniature Shop & Museum and beautiful ornaments garnishing every room.
The LeuHouseMuseum, built in the late 1880s, has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1986.The house and gardens were donated by the last owner of the property, Mr. Harry P. Leu, to the City of Orlando in 1961.The museum is adorned with many antiques which reflect the decades of the four families that once lived in the home.
Admission to the LeuHouseMuseum is included with garden admission: $7 plus tax adults, $2 plus tax child (K-12th grade). Admission is free every Monday morning from 9:00 am until Noon.LeuGardens is located at 1920 North Forest Avenue.Visit www.leugardens.org or call 407.246.2620.
