School of Art
The School of Art is located in the heart of downtown Lake Mary. Our newly remodeled classrooms occupy more than 2000 square feet. The school was founded in 2001 by Stella Tagliavore in the spirit of bringing arts to our community. Our goal is to provide art education to children and adults of all ages. Students are taught in hands-on learning environment. Students learn how to draw, paint, cartoon, design, sculpt, cook, and sew. Our founder Stella Tagliavore is an accomplished educator and artist. She taught all subjects at Page Private Schools for 20 years. She believes when students are given the opportunities to develop their artistic skills and talents, can become better problem solvers in life. Our classes focus on building fundamental skills and techniques that provide a solid foundation in the field of fine arts. All art classes offered are included in our yearly program.
Drawing/Paintin
Cartooning - Focus on cartoon drawing, evoking humor through exaggeration of real people and objects.
Cartooning makes drawing fun and easy.
Design - Introducing basic concepts and techniques of graphic design. Students learn to create typefaces, form layouts and study composition.
Sculpting - Work with students through a step-by-step process using all techniques and materials to final finished projects.
Pottery - Learn to use handbuilding techniques and pottery wheel to create unique pieces of pottery.
Sewing - Fun and easy ways to use sewing machine to create unique sewing projects.
which is included in the Summer Program or upon request.
